Innovation price

With a competition and prize money BioPark promotes graduates with outstanding innovative and application-oriented ideas in the field of the life sciences and health. Together with the patent and law firm Dehmel & Bettenhausen from Munich located at the BioPark the two best ideas are awarded yearly. 

The competition is designed to promote the transfer of knowledge new technologies and inventions from research to entrepreneurial utilisation. The purpose of the competition is also to bring the public closer to the results of the excellent research in Regensburg as well as the practical use of biotechnology. It should stimulate scientists and their inventions as technologies or products to be introduced onto the market – so this means making innovations out of ideas. In going the prize also honours the meaning of the interaction/cooperation of business and science.

The competition is directed at regional university and external university research institutions in Regensburg. The award ceremony takes place within the framework of Dies Academicus at the University of Regensburg and the OTH Regensburg
