Studied biology majoring in genetics in Cologne, doctorate at the Max-Planck Institute for Breeding Research, 1989 project leader and coordinator of the research department at the Weissheimer Malz in collaboration with the Carlsberg Research Laboratory (Copenhagen), 1993 – 1999 founder and managing director of Maltagen Forschung GmbH. Since 1999 managing director of BioPark Regensburg GmbH and cluster manager of BioRegion Regensburg and Healthcare Regensburg.
