New Partners in Cooperation in BioPark Regensburg

In the coming business year of 2006 the BioPark Regensburg GmbH has acquired two competent partners for the companies of the BioRegio Regensburg, enriching the level of services in the centre.  The EPPING-HERMANN-FISCHER Society for Patent Law mbH situated in Munich and Regensburg will be offering a consulting service on patents one day per month. Together with the BioPark, the Technicians Health Insurance Company (TK) will provide seminars on continuing education for the companies.

Antisense Pharma raises $ 18 Million in Venture Financing

The Antisense Pharma GmbH Company, located in BioPark Regensburg has raised $ 18.0 million in private equity from the German MIG funds. This investment further validates Antisense Pharma´s worldwide leadership in the field of antisense technology and its application, the development of targeted anticancer drugs.

S-Refit Coach for the new KfW High-Tech Foundation Fund

S-Refit AG, located in Regensburg, is now an accredited coach of the High-Tech Foundation Fund appointed by the Federal Government with a capital capacity of 262 million Euro. This provides start-up companies in BioRegio Regensburg with access to start-up capital with a competent partner on site.

2nd construction phase in BioPark Regensburg commences operation

Having relocated its first company to Regensburg University Campus, BioPark II has commenced operation. By the end of 2006 further companies will follow and construction plans will be completed, and all new laboratory areas have already now been allocated. BioPark II will be officially opened on 23./24. June 2006 in the course of the 10 year anniversary of the Bioregio Regensburg.

New Fraunhofer Center in BioPark Regensburg

The Fraunhofer Society is establishing a new center for the research of tumour disease and disease associated with ageing in cooperation with the University of Regensburg in the BioPark in Regensburg. With the set-up of this initial research, external to the University, the BioRegio Regensburg is moving forward in the leading group of Bavarian scientific establishments.
