Geneart AG increases production and turnover

The company located in BioPark Regensburg looks back on a successful year in 2006 and announces a doubling of gene synthesis capacity for 2007 due to strong demand. In 2006 the turnover increased by 70 % to 7.8 million EUR.

Successful development of the Regensburg Company BioGents

BioGents GmbH located in Regensburg has made a successful start for the 2007 business year with its business idea in the specialist field of attractant and repellent products for mosquitoes and specific types of trap systems for insects. Following contracts with authorities in Germany and abroad, increasing turnover and a new patent application, Biogents received initial financing within the “Friends & Family Round” framework in April. The sealing of further financing is advised for the next 8 weeks.

Current Business Report 2006 for BioRegio Regensburg

With the start of the New Year, BioPark Regensburg GmbH has presented its new business figures for the region, demonstrating the number of companies has remained stable at 39 and the number of employees has risen from 1,300 to 1,700.  For the first time since 2004 the bankrolling of a new foundation was able to be registered in the region again. However sales of companies and takeovers shaped the financial year of 2006.
