Digital Networking for Improved Care of Patients with Cancer in East Bavaria
(No. 201) BioPark Regensburg GmbH, an enterprise of the City of Regensburg, has commenced the action phase of the “Master Plan for Healthcare” in the Regensburg Region. Within the framework of the Digital Health Initiative Regensburg started at the beginning of the year, stakeholders from the Comprehensive Cancer Center Ostbayern (CCCO) - coordinated by the University Hospital in Regensburg – met at the BioPark. This was to discuss solutions for electronic exchange of medical imaging data and clinical reports on patients with cancer between hospitals and doctors providing care together for the patients. Fast, simple and safe exchange of this patient data is an important basis for multiprofessional and interdisciplinary care of patients in the whole of East Bavaria.

Cell-based sensory technology Made in Regensburg
(No. 199) The Fraunhofer Institute for Microsystems and Solid-State Technology (EMFT) has been operating research in the field of chemical and biosensory technology in Regensburg since 2010. Initially located in the BioPark, its activities are now being continued successfully at the Institute for Analytical Chemistry, Chemical and Biosensory Technology at the University of Regensburg focusing on “cell-based sensory technology”.
