Opening Celebration for the New Construction in Marktredwitz
“In 230 years normally a very many things change. Chemistry, economic frameworks, knowledge, technology and a lot more. However some things have remained over the centuries in the company’s philosophy. Inquisitiveness, trust, partnership, looking forwards and courage”. Steffen Tropitzsch, CEO of Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH & Iris Biotech GmbH opened the ceremony with these words. The company founded in 1788 is able to look back on a long eventful history. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe carried out his experiments here in 1822 on color theory. Originally preserved copy books document already in 1812 in six languages extensive trade relationships in all of the continents. In 1908 the first license for a seed treatment was achieved worldwide with Fusariol.
Today Cfm Oskar Tropitzsch GmbH and Iris Biotech GmbH support the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in the creation and production of special chemical products. The comprehensive catalogue with over 1,000 products includes toxins such as bee venom or the poison from the amanita mushroom, phytochemicals, fermentation products and pharmaceutical compounds. The company maintains with over 40 universities and suppliers a global production network and delivers worldwide to its customers. For this it received the Exportpreis Bayern (Export Prize Bavaria) in 2016 in the field of service provision. The company has been certified by GDP (Good Distribution Practice) since 2018.
This successful development reached a further high point at the inauguration of the company’s own new premises. Two buildings with a total of 1,350 m2 were erected for the 25 employees. Next to the state-of-the-art office building there is a warehouse for storage, parcel shipping and quality control. Here in addition to the laboratories, refrigeration and security rooms there is also a comprehensive archive for customs and security documentation.
So what is the secret to success for this company in this district city of 17,000 inhabitants in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains, directly on the border to the Czech Republic? “Create principles, take care of these principles, live by these principles” cited Oskar Tropitzsch – the guiding principles of the reputable businessman. Dr. Olga Tšubrik, Member of the Management Board at TBD-Biodiscovery in Tartu in Estonia added, “Your team communication is unique and exemplary”. Dr. Thomas Diefenthal, BioPark CEO emphasized the intensive international presence of the company at congresses and Bavarian shared tradefair stands in the Regensburg Bioregion.
The three line title of the celebration brochure summarizes beautifully the vision for the future:
“FINDING THE BEST SOLUTION FOR YOU – 2GETHER – ONE STEP AHEAD”
