New Risk Capital Fund BayBG-EFRE for Innovation

According to S-Refit AG in Regensburg (see BioPark PR No. 71, Oct. 2007) the Bavarian joint venture company in Munich has got another new risk capital fund from EFRE funding under way. The new risk capital fund for midsized businesses is directed at two target groups: innovative technology companies from all of the Bavarian regions (excluding the greater Munich area) and midsized companies from the East Bavarian area with growth strategies. The new fund should close the capital resource gap often observed in innovative and growing enterprises. Strengthening the position on capital resource means more impetus for growth and innovation. With the new fund there is a total of 20 million € available. The funds are raised 50:50 by BayBG and the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE) respectively. The joint venture involvement per company is between 0.2 million and 1.5 million €.  Meanwhile BayBG with 550 partnerships and a total volume of 280 million € is one of the TOP TEN German joint venture companies.
