New ADT Board Member comes from Regensburg

ADT founded in 1988 currently comprises 151 German technology and start-up centres, as well as science and technology parks in Germany. The association pursues the goal of supporting technology transfer and innovation, and the start-up and development of companies. To accomplish this ADT maintains a diverse network between the centres, industrial enterprises, the banking industry, consultancy firms and politics. “I am looking forward to working together on the board of directors with the successful BioPark in Regensburg” stated managing director Ms Andrea Glaser Diplom.-Bw. “In the last 10 years Regensburg has provided support for 35 start-ups through this centre and increased the number of employees by six fold, a prime example for our business development contract at ADT.” The current president of the ADT Dr. Bertram Dressel believes: “The dynamic development seen in the example of Regensburg with its threefold increase in space demonstrated the need for an ongoing leasehold concept from the incubator phase, through to expansion of space, right up to the formation of the technology park. This sustainable cost effectiveness contract at our centres is a further core competency of the ADT.”
Dr. Thomas Diefenthal is a foundation member and since 2009 a spokesperson for the Working Groups BioParks at ADT. “In my new function I would like to further optimise the not so easy balancing act between business development for our companies and the financial operation of the centres for our shareholders. Furthermore I would very much like to work out and use additional synergies within our network in Germany”, he stated in acceptance speech.
