Healthcare Regensburg at the HIMSS18
BioPark Regensburg GmbH, an enterprise of the City of Regensburg, has thematised among other topics the themes of location, marketing and digitalization for this industry in its just recently presented Healthcare Masterplan. In corresponding workshops the stakeholders gave their opinions on the linking and expansion of the digital health activities and improvement of external representation. As a first step the BioPark brought the Digital Health Initiative Regensburg to life and has already carried out initial events on this topic (see BioPark PR No. 194). As a second step the HealthCare Regensburg Project fundedby the State of Bavaria took part with other companies from Bavariain the largest worldwide healthcare IT conference and trade fair HIMSS in the USA which occurs annually. 45,000 visitors from the healthcare field visited 1,300 exhibitors from 27 countries and discussed in 300 forums with over 900 lectures the newest developments in digitalization in the field of healthcare. The topics of data protection, innovation, smart homes, patient care and communication between patient and doctor were at the forefront. The Bavarian joint stand was coordinated by Bayern International and the Nuremberg Trade Fair. In addition to the BioPark and Healthcare Regensburg, the companies Biovariance (Waldsassen), Futureshape (Höhenkirchen), Biomax Informatics (Planegg) and Cimmed (Munich) took part.
