Bionorica AG on the Road to Success With a New Concept
Bionorica AG, which is based in Neumarkt in the Oberpfalz, and employs 340 people, is also one of the four medium-sized enterprises in the BioRegio Regensburg. The company has recently taken a new position on the pharmaceutical market with Phytoneering.
Phytoneering is the fusion of phyto and engineering; this is the combination of substances of vegetable origin (phyto) with ultra-modern analysis and using state-of-the-art process technology (engineering). With Phytoneering, Bionorica has defined a new area for growth in the field of pharmacy and has distinguished itself from the rest of the homeopathy market.The Phytoneering-products from the Oberpfalz are demonstrating above average growth not only on the German but also on the international markets. Mastodyn, a Phyto-compound used for treating monthly-cycle related discomfort, is experiencing a three-digit growth rate in Eastern Europe.
The subsidiary Delta9Pharma GmbH, founded 2002, also confirms the success of the company. The new sub-company is expanding in the Bionorica's main area of expertise, analgesics (pain-killers). New insights about the effect of vegetable-based ingredients in the research and development of the company are used in order to steadily further and improve its products. At the same time, the effectiveness and tolerance of the various medicines are also tested in laboratory studies.
