BGM Project at the BioPark is being extended

BioPark Regensburg GmbH, an enterprise of the City of Regensburg, presented the Healthcare Industry Masterplan in 2017 (see BioPark PR No. 191). The masterplan denotes opportunities, potentials and recommendations for action for Regensburg and the Region in this field. In doing so the BioPark not only wanted to demonstrate the huge potential for the future and current themes in trends, but also to show by good example by beginning itself with its employees at the BioPark. To implement this the BioPark sealed a framework contract with its partner and leaseholder of many years in the health field – the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) (see BioPark PR. No. 194).

 

The challenge at the BioPark is to do right for the special needs of the very diverse leaseholders. At the BioPark there are start-ups and one-person companies just as much at home as large US companies. With its own company health management steering group coordinated by the process consultant of TK, Alexander Mederer, shareholder and partner of Motio GmbH & Co. KG, active in healthcare management since 1983, the project was commenced with the name “BioBalance–Work&Life@BioPark” with its own homepage (see below). In addition to the classical movement and relaxation courses, seminars on the topics of nutrition, stress and time management as well as topics on leadership and health were offered.

 

“With the healthcare management  project we would like to bring the health theme into companies and institutes and create a further communication platform between each other“, explained BioPark CEO Dr. Thomas Diefenthal. Now the project is already spreading   beyond the BioPark – further companies in the Regensburg Bioregion in the city area are on board. The success is being rewarded by the TK. It has extended the contract with the BioPark until the end of 2020. “Our goal is to build up sustainable healthcare management at the BioPark in the second phase”, explained Michael Reinhold, Head of Customer Services at TK Lower Bavaria/Upper Palatinate. “It would be great if all participants and companies would value and continue the theme beyond the promotion phase.”
