A new company has started up in BioRegio Regensburg in the field of the development of high performance materials for medicine. ras material GmbH develops antibacterial nanosilver products and markets these by the name of AgPURE for a broad future market.

Geneart AG, located in BioPark Regensburg, has concluded the sale of the majority of its shares. Applied Biosystems Deutschland GmbH now holds around 58 % of the company’s shares. This makes Geneart a part of Life Technologies Corporation, based in California/USA with a turnover in 2009 of 3.3 billion US dollars and around 9,000 employees.

Lisando GmbH is developing a completely new application to combat certain types of bacterial organisms that cause disease using nature as its model.
