Plans for TechCampus Regensburg have begun

On the grounds of the previous Nibelungen Barracks in direct vicinity to the BioPark there will soon be a tender for an urban development and landscape planning competition for the Technology Centre together with the area involved. The construction is due to commence in 2014. The first premises could be moved into at the end of 2015.

The company Iris Biotech GmbH with its home in Marktredwitz in Upper Franconia/East Bavaria has drastically shortened the period of introduction of a new group of products to the market through intensification of its work with research institutes. Currently the company is cooperating with 35 selected manufacturers and universities throughout the world.

New Service at BioPark with Practice Recruitment

BioPark Regensburg has expanded its spectrum of services. With the company for Practise Recruitment & Consulting regional this is the first time a service institution for medical practices and pharmacies has moved into the Innovation Centre and this creates an important link to end consumers of development of medicines regionally.

Fraunhofer Day on 14th June at BioPark Regensburg

Two Fraunhofer project groups are active in the successful innovation center on the Danube. In 2007 a Fraunhofer Institute working group from Hanover started up in the field of toxicology and experimental medicine (ITEM), which reestablished in 2011. In 2010 a working group started up at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Modular Solid State Technologies in Munich (EFMT). Both working groups will present their projects on June14th as part of a Fraunhofer Day at BioPark Regensburg and be available for potential cooperation partners. The event is free of charge. Registration flyers will be sent out shortly.
