Vocational School for Nursing at Mainkofen District Hospital

The Vocational School for Nursing at the Mainkofen District Hospital is known for its good training in the field of health and nursing. Since 2020 health and nursing, health and children's nursing and care for the elderly have been combined in the generalist nursing training. The three-year full-time training is recognized throughout the EU. The theoretical part of the training is taught at the vocational school in Mainkofen. In the 2,500 hours of practical work to be completed, the students are deployed to the various wards of the individual specialist clinics as well as to external cooperation partners. Thanks to the affiliated staff dormitory, training and living in one place are possible. And if there is desire for more responsibility after completing the training, it is possible to qualify as a nurse in psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy at the clinic's own training institute, pursue a career as a ward manager or simply add on a degree in nursing.
