University of Regensburg
Lectures started at the winter semester 1967/1968. At that time only three departments existed: the School of Law, the School of Economics, the Humanities. They were soon followed by the Natural Sciences and the School of Medicine. At the moment almost 21,500 students are enrolled in eleven departments and schools, respectively. University, University Medical Center and the University of Applied Sciences make Regensburg one of the most important educational locations in Bavaria.
In the interface between studies and professional life the University of Regensburg offers their students an internship program with study-accompanying practice orientation. The center offers information and advice aimed at providing concise information to individuals about their professional prospects and also serves as a basis for individual placement in a qualified internship program either nationally or abroad. The continued cooperation and maintaining of contacts with companies and other partners has made it possible to offer internship programs in all academic subjects. Companies can therefore contact the trainee program center directly for further negotiations.
The Regensburger Universitätsstiftung is a private foundation to promote the University of Regensburg. It bundles several initiatives and financial supports of private persons and companies which all have the aim to enhance the profile and competence of the University of Regensburg and to give new impulses on research and education. Here you can find a detailled map of the university campus including the BioPark (German version only).
