University Ingolstadt
More than 5,000 students are enrolled at the Ingolstadt Institute of Technology which was awarded a position in the leading group in the fields of practice orientation, computer and laboratory equipment, range of services and study situation by the last rankings of the Centre for the Development of Institutions of Higher Learning [Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung (CHE). Technical and business courses are the main focus in Ingolstadt. At the moment Ingolstadt University provides the largest number of dual students of all Bavarian universities of applied sciences. Since 2011 the new course „Technology of renewable energies“ with a focus in bio energy engineering exists.

University Deggendorf
About 5,800 students are enrolled at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology which eas awarded as a top place for education hat emphasises what is practiced in industry in many of its courses by the last ranking of Centre for the Development of Institutions of Higher Learning [Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung (CHE)]. Technical and business courses are the main focus in Deggendorf. Particularly important to be mentioned are the new courses "Resource and Environmental Management" (Bachelor Degree) and "Health Care Management" (MBA). Important fields of research are the fields of bionic and also of micro- and nanoanalysis.

University Amberg-Weiden
The Academy of Technology of Amberg-Weiden is a college for Business and Technology and was founded in 1994. About 3,500 students are enrolled here. The Technology Department is located in Amberg the Business Department is located in Weiden. For those who are interested in life sciences courses include "Environmental Engineering" (Master Degree), "Renewable Energy" and "Environmental Technology" (Bachelor Degree) with a possibly following Master Degree. Since 2014 the new course „medical technologie“ (Bachelor) as well as the Master Degree are being offered.

University Landshut
Currently around 5,100 students are enrolled at the University of Applied Sciences in Landshut. An intensive cooperation between university and economy within the framework of a knowledge- and technology- transfer ensures an education closely related to practical experience and offers the opportunity of internships. Particularly interesting in the field of life science is the interdisciplinary course of studies in biomedical technology starting in autumn 2012. This undergraduate programme forms an intersection between medical application and technical engineering. In the same year the „Network Medicine technology“ was initiated. This project targets a technology-scouting with hospitals, emergency services and users of medicine technology.

University Passau
The University of Passau is a young university with modern infrastructure on a green campus at the waterside of the Inn and in close proximity to Passau's pictorial old town district. It was founded in 1978. About 12.000 students are enrolled currently. At the faculty of informatics and mathematics research is conducted amongst others in the fields of embedded systems wearable computing and sensorics.

University Döpfer Schwandorf
Döpfer Schulen GmbH based in Schwandorf offers state certified polytechnic courses and vocational education in the field of health care systems. There are also branches of the school represented in Hamburg, Cologne, Regensburg and Nuremberg. Courses are offered in Ergotherapy (Bachelor Degree) and Physiotherapy (Bachelor Degree). Included in the vocational training are taking care of the elderly, rescue assistant, medical masseur and business administrator in social and health care systems.
