Hospital St. Marien Amberg

The St. Marien Amberg Hospital is a level II hospital with 578 beds and 17 specialty departments and four inpatient departments (ophthalmology, oral and facial surgery, ENT, orthopedics). The hospital employs around 1,800 people and treats around 60,000 patients per year. The hospital is an academic teaching hospital at the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg and the University of Regensburg. Additionally, there are several medical centers of various specialties as for example the Oncology Center. The adjoined St. Marien Health Center is a non-profit subsidiary of the St. Marien Amberg Hospital. Here patients are treated and advised on an outpatient basis. The specialists at the center cooperate closely with the clinic departments and treatment providers in private institutions.
