ESy-Labs is providing the technology of electrosynthesis in the field of electroorganic and electroinorganic synthesis commercially. ESy-Labs is able to use electricity for chemical reactions to directly provide renewable energy for chemical synthesis.

Core Technologies and Services

ESy-Labs, a spin-off from JGU Mainz  and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, makes the technology of electrosynthesis for the production of raw materials in the range of gram to a few tonnes per year commercially available. ESy-Labs mainly uses the technology of electrocatalysis as well as electrosynthesis for the production of high-quality chemicals (pharmaceuticals as well as their precursors, fine chemicals, metals, metallic compounds etc.) under the name ESy-Organics and ESy-Inorganics.

In the cross-sectional area of renewable energy production and chemical conversion ESy-Labs offers consulting services, custom synthesis and process development to provide the technology of electrosynthesis and -catalysis to clients in a holistic manner.
