Joachim Wolbergs
completed his civil service in outpatient caregiving including elderly care at the Workers Welfare Association to which he later became chairman. From 1993 to 2006 he was the CEO of the Culture and Meeting Center Alte Mälzerei as well as of the Kulturspeicher. In 1996 Wolbergs was elected for the first time to the City Council, was Faction Chairman from 2002 to 2008 and was elected Mayor of the City of Regensburg in 2008. From 2014 to 2020 Joachim Wolbergs was Lord Mayor of Regensburg and in this role already a member of the Board of Directors at BioPark Regensburg GmbH.
